I'm a web developer and musician from Perth, Western Australia. Truth be told, I dabble in many things. From music, to software, to graphic design, to cooking, but programming, in one language or another, is the one thing I've been doing since I was quite young and it seems inevitable I was going to end up doing it for a living.

I guess you could say programming for me is almost a love / hate relationship. It's a truly creative process, where you can have total control over a computer should you desire, which is really very cool. However it can consume countless hours of your life for those short lived moments of elation when you get rid of the bugs and something comes to life, before you move on to the next chunk of function creep.

Naturally, being a computer programmer, I have worked with computers for more of my life than not. After studying Internet and Networking Technologies at Midland TAFE, I ran my own computer support company for several years. Eventually I got full-time work as a "Computer Support Officer" at Kingsway Christian College around the year 2000. A couple of years after that I moved to a surveillance and access control systems company called Dataline Visual Link, where I managed their IT and worked on several software projects.

In 2006 I joined my uncle and friend David Bolt and we started the company Ripple Vision. Ripple Vision is primarily a web company, providing web hosting and online software solutions, but we do video editing, filming and photography also. About a year after having started the company, I began work on a content management system called Modjula. We now use Modjula for nearly all of the websites we build.

As for my music, I play piano / keys. I play regularly at my church Perth Christian Life Centre and at the odd gig or two here and there. I had the privilege of playing at The Ellington Jazz Club twice last year for Ezereve. Lately I have developed a real passion for composing orchestral music. You can hear a little of my music here.
